Shelterluv Announces Creation of the Shelterluv Foundation

Shelterluv is pleased to announce the creation of The Shelterluv Foundation! The Shelterluv Foundation exists to provide support and resources to animal shelters and rescues across the country. The Foundation directors will establish a stable commitment of programmatic offerings that complement the current climate and priorities within animal welfare, as well as ensure the organization’s fiscal resiliency.

“It is an honor and privilege to serve alongside my fellow Shelterluv Foundation members,” said Matthew Brown, Foundation Staff. “I look forward to working with them as well as animal shelters and rescues across the United States to provide a more humane world for all.”

Shelterluv strives to make a difference in the communities it serves in a variety of ways.  Our support extends through the services provided including continual re-evaluation and enhancement of our product. Shelterluv’s mobile donation boost has provided over $1,000,000 in financial support to Shelterluv partners across the country.

Since its founding, Shelterluv and its leadership team have demonstrated a strong commitment to animal welfare and how we can best support the tireless efforts of the people on the front lines.  The Shelterluv Foundation was created to serve as an extension of their strong community work, to help the organizations we work with secure adequate resources, enhance their public standing, and ensure legal and ethical integrity in their operations.

The Shelterluv Foundation has already partnered with GreaterGood, American Humane, the ASPCA, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, the Bahamian Veterinary Association, and the Department of Agriculture to create the Dorian Animal Relief Coalition. The coalition is focused on rebuilding, supporting, and implementing preventative measures for the animal shelters devastated in the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian.

Many shelters were completely destroyed, and shelter workers left devastated following the loss of most of their shelter populations. With the help of the Shelterluv Foundation, the coalition has banded together to help rebuild the Bahamian shelters affected by the devastation of Hurricane Dorian while providing mentorships to ensure proper protocols, procedures, and preventative measures are also implemented. This includes ensuring evacuation protocols with support from FEMA are in place to prevent a catastrophe like this from happening again for organizations in the path of a devastating storm. The Shelterluv Foundation is pleased to be part of this coalition to provide support and mentorship services while continuing to be a leader in animal management software.

Due to the current crisis, the Shelterluv Foundation is committed to helping animal shelters and rescues across the country navigate the new landscape COVID-19 has presented. The inaugural program cycle will focus on mentorship relating to critical shelter operations. Organizations accepted into this program will receive one-on-one support from shelter veterans and industry experts to identify areas of concern and opportunities for improvement to ensure continued growth, success, and leadership to achieve its mission. Sharing knowledge and resources is the key to saving more lives and making a more humane world for all, the core of the Shelterluv Foundation’s mission.
