Ask your donors for help today — and use COVID-specific language

On March 31, we changed the donation ask language in Shelterluv mobile checkout. The new ask directly mentions the operational challenges of COVID-19:

Since then, nearly 40% of adopters are now making a donation, a 28% increase from before. The average donation amount has also risen by nearly $5, an 18% increase.

Shelters and rescues should take this learning and apply updated COVID-specific  language across all fundraising channels. Just as community members stepped up to foster when asked, donors are doing the same. Now is the time for a fundraising appeal to your community.
