Nicole Sies
Customer Onboarding ManagerAbout Nicole
Nicole earned her Bachelor's Degree in English from The Ohio State University before building a career in animal welfare, where she discovered a passion for creating welcoming, accessible adoption experiences. Most recently, she served as an Adoption Program Manager for a nonprofit animal shelter, leading adoption programs while working to remove unnecessary barriers and judgment from the adoption process.
Her commitment to customer experience led her to present at the 2022 Best Friends National Conference on how exceptional customer service benefits both organizations and the animals they serve. During her time in sheltering, Nicole also partnered with Shelterluv on a webinar exploring how organizations can create more customer-friendly, paperless adoption experiences while increasing donations.
Today, Nicole brings that firsthand shelter experience to the Customer Solutions team, helping organizations create workflows that support both their staff and their communities. She enjoys sharing practical ideas that make adoption more welcoming, efficient, and accessible while empowering organizations to focus on what matters most: connecting more pets with loving homes.
"I love helping people do their best. I tend to see their strengths and what works well first."
Digging deeper
Working in shelter operations taught me that every interaction matters. Whether someone is adopting their first pet or asking a simple question, those moments shape how people experience your organization. I believe technology should help create those positive experiences, not get in the way of them. One of my favorite parts of this role is helping organizations look at their processes through the eyes of the people they serve. Sometimes a small change to a workflow can make a huge difference in how welcoming and approachable the adoption experience feels.
I love helping customers find those opportunities while staying true to their mission and the unique needs of their community. What inspires me most is knowing that every improvement, whether it's simplifying a form, streamlining an adoption process, or answering a customer's question, helps shelters spend more time building meaningful connections between people and pets. That's the kind of impact that keeps me excited to come to work every day.
What customers think
"Nicole is always so helpful without being long-winded. I love the support you are able to offer, and thank the lord that I don't have to call anyone and sit on hold for 3 hours. You guys are definitely doing it right! All my friends who run shelters and rescues have either switched already or are going to. Your software and support are the selling points!"
