Working directly with shelter staff, volunteers, and adopters gave her a firsthand appreciation for the dedication, creativity, and resilience it takes to support animals every day. Wanting to make an even broader impact, Maddie joined Shelter Animals Count, where she partnered with shelters and rescues across the country to collect, interpret, and better understand their data through the National Database. Along the way, she heard countless organizations praise Shelterluv for making their work easier, sparking her interest in joining the team herself. Today, Maddie combines her background in shelter operations, data, and customer support to help organizations get the most from Shelterluv. "I make a point to celebrate the people behind the mission, because their dedication to animals in need truly matters." ## Digging deeper Having worked with shelters of all sizes, I've learned that no two organizations are exactly alike. Every team has different goals, different challenges, and different ways of serving their community. That's why I enjoy taking the time to understand what a customer is trying to accomplish before jumping to a solution. One of my favorite parts of this role is solving puzzles. Whether it's tracking down the root cause of an issue or finding a workflow that makes someone's day a little easier, I love helping customers leave a conversation feeling more confident than when they started. I also believe the little things matter, which is why I always end my support conversations with a sincere "thank you." The work our customers do every day deserves appreciation. Supporting shelters and rescues has always been the reason behind my career.
