On March 31, we changed the donation ask language in Shelterluv mobile checkout. The new ask directly mentions the operational challenges of COVID-19.

Since then, nearly 40% of adopters are now making a donation, a **28% increase from before**. The average donation amount has also risen by nearly $5, **an 18% increase**.

**Shelters and rescues should take this learning and apply updated COVID-specific  language across all fundraising channels.** Just as community members stepped up to foster when asked, donors are doing the same. Now is the time for a fundraising appeal to your community.
